But I have one question... Will calling for elections now ensure that the actual people's choices are allowed to be elected to office? No one has denied that the Elections Commission is controlled and does the bidding of the corrupt Barisan Nasional. It is very obvious that the mainstream media remain subservient to the Barisan Nasional and will not give the people a fair opportunity to learn about the all candidates. It was demonstrated in Permatang Pauh that the police will collaborate with the Barisan Nasional to bus in phantom voters to win at all costs. Under these conditions, will holding elections now really show what the people want? To me, it makes sense to allow Pakatan Rakyat the opportunity to clean up the Judiciary, the Elections Commission and the Police and then call for fresh elections.
